Alan Newcomb - Operations Associate

Currently working towards licensure as a clinical social worker, Alan received his BA from Bard College in 2003 and his MSW from the University of Georgia in 2025. He joined S.T.O.P. in 2022 after leaving a two-decade career in the film industry as a camera assistant to pursue a master’s degree in social work and spend more time with his wife, two children, mother, plants, books, and cat. While grateful for the years he spent backing up some of the world’s best cinematographers, he is thrilled to now provide support to the lawyers, researchers & advocates of S.T.O.P., applying his systems experience to a whole new sector of watchers and watching.
