Alan Newcomb, LMSW - Operations Associate

Alan joined S.T.O.P. in 2022 after leaving a two-decade career as a motion picture camera assistant to spend more time with his family, pets, plants and books. He graduated from Bard College in 2003 and earned his MSW from the University of Georgia in 2025, during which time he also trained as a Spiritual Health Clinician through Emory University’s CPE program at the Winship Cancer Institute. Now a social worker, advocate and researcher, Alan is grateful to also provide logistical support for the team here at S.T.O.P., around an entirely different sector of watchers and watching.
