Alan Newcomb, MSW - Operations Associate

Social worker and researcher Alan Newcomb received his BA from Bard College in 2003 and his MSW from the University of Georgia in 2025, during which time he also trained as a Spiritual Health Clinician at Emory University’s Winship Cancer Institute. He joined S.T.O.P. in 2022 after leaving a two-decade career as a camera assistant in the motion picture industry to spend more time with his wife, son, daughter, mother, cats, plants and books. While grateful for the years he spent backing up some of the world’s best cinematographers, he is equally grateful to now provide support for the team here at S.T.O.P. around an entirely new sector of watchers and watching.
