More people than ever are are turning to apps, chatbots, online platforms, and wearables to manage their reproductive health. While these technologies can empower users to make informed choices regarding their reproductive care, they can also expose sensitive data to an open marketplace of third-parties such as data brokers, advertisers, political organizations, and law enforcement. This webinar will discuss current gaps in health privacy law that leave digital reproductive data open to commercial and government surveillance. Participants will also learn practical tips on how to protect their digital reproductive data.
Joined by Lauren Wu (Adjunct Professor, Northwestern Pritzker School of Law) and Nora Schmitt (Assistant General Counsel, Privacy & Cybersecurity Law, GRAIL, Inc.). Presented by the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (S.T.O.P.).
