Heba Elkouraichi - Advocacy Intern

Heba Elkouraichi is a sophomore at Vassar College pursuing a major in political science and minors in Arabic and economics. She has worked with grassroots advocacy organizations and elected officials in NYC to highlight underrepresented voices in such spaces, where she conducted research on housing, climate, juvenile justice, and immigration policy. Advocacy and the practice of outward dissent are at risk more than ever before due to the massive influx of state-sanctioned surveillance, which is why her interests currently lie in anti-discriminatory surveillance work.
