James cordingley - Communications intern

Hi, I’m James Cordingley, a junior at Columbia University majoring in Political Science and Philosophy. I’ve had the opportunity to intern at the Brennan Center for Justice, where I researched civil rights legislation and explored how policy impacts free speech and civil liberties. At Dean Street Law, I gained hands-on experience in criminal defense litigation, assisting with legal research and document preparation. Currently, I serve as a Managing Editor at the Columbia Political Review, where I lead a team of writers in producing in-depth political analysis and advocacy journalism. Outside of work and academics, I love spending time writing short stories, diving into a great book, or watching a thought-provoking film.
