Thank You for Coming to My TED Talk

Friend,

One of the best parts of my job at STOP is being able to talk with new audiences about the surveillance technology we oppose and the way we are fighting back. And one of the most exciting talks I’ve ever given came just the other week, when I took to the stage of the TED Conference in Vancouver.

Presenting alongside speakers like Bill Gates and Al Gore, I was able to showcase the surveillance threat and the local solutions we fight for. I was also able to join an incredible community of TED Fellows: scientists, artists, and civil rights pioneers from around the world.

It’s stunning to see our work gaining global attention, reverberating with the community-based fight against surveillance technology in cities near and far. With platforms like TED, I know we’ll be able to reach more people than ever, scaling our campaigns to meet the scope of the surveillance threat.

But I also know that none of this would be possible without the support of those of you who have backed S.T.O.P. from its earliest days. You’re the reason we’ve been able to go from an idea to the global stage in just a few years. If you’re able, please donate and help us grow our impact and meet this moment and all that’s required to push back against mass surveillance.
In solidarity,
Albert Fox Cahn
Executive Director
